There are moments in this journey that feel almost surreal, and this is definitely one of them.
Opening the latest issue of Stickat & Sånt and finding a feature about qeenew and my work was a feeling I won't forget. Seeing something you've built from an idea, a sewing machine, and a passion for giving discarded textiles a second life printed across magazine pages is incredibly rewarding.
The article shares the story behind qeenew – how forgotten curtains, tablecloths and bed linens are transformed into one-of-a-kind garments and accessories, and why I believe the material should always lead the design process. Every piece begins with a textile that already exists, carrying its own history and character into something entirely new.
A heartfelt thank you to Marie Flodin for writing such a thoughtful article and to Christina Uhlin for capturing qeenew so beautifully through her photography. The photo shoot took place at the inspiring Green Little Heart concept store in Stockholm, a place that shares the same passion for conscious design and sustainable fashion.
Being featured in Stickat & Sånt is a milestone for qeenew, and I'm grateful to be able to share this story with even more people who believe that fashion can be both creative and circular.
Thank you for following along on this journey. It truly means the world.
