INTERNSHIP IN SOCIAL MEDIA, SUSTAINABLE FASHION & DESIGN
Are you a student in a higher education programme looking to gain hands on experience in building a sustainable fashion brand?
qeenew is looking for a motivated intern who wants to work behind the scenes of a growing Swedish fashion brand. This is an opportunity to gain practical experience in social media, content creation and marketing, while getting a unique insight into how a sustainable fashion business is built and run.
Examples of tasks
Your internship will be tailored to your education, previous experience and the areas you would like to develop. Tasks may include:
- Social media planning, content creation, photography, videography, editing and publishing
- Marketing and brand communication
- Product photography and image editing
- E commerce and webshop product management
- Graphic design and other creative content
- Sewing and product development
- Material handling and textile sorting
You are not expected to know everything from the start. The internship is designed around your education and experience, giving you the opportunity to develop both new and existing skills throughout your placement.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for students currently enrolled in a higher education programme, for example within:
- Fashion Design
- Textile Design
- Graphic Design
- Marketing
- Digital Communication
- Content Creation
- E commerce
- Product Development
- Or another relevant field of study
You are creative, curious and enjoy taking initiative. A genuine interest in sustainability, design and the circular economy is a strong advantage.
A valid driving licence (Category B) is considered a plus.
About the internship
- The internship can be part time or full time, depending on your programme and placement requirements.
- Some tasks can be carried out remotely, depending on the nature of the work.
- You need to be able to work from qeenew's studio in Sjuntorp at least one day per week.
- The internship must be part of a higher education programme.
About qeenew
qeenew creates one of a kind garments and accessories from rescued household textiles. Every product is made as a single unique piece and produced in Sweden with a focus on quality, craftsmanship and circular design.
As an intern, you will work closely with the founder and gain first hand experience of how an entrepreneurial fashion brand is built and developed. You will be involved in many different parts of the business, from design, product development and production to content creation, marketing, sales and e commerce. This provides broad practical experience and valuable insight into running a creative business.
qeenew received the Sustainability Award at Formex 2026 and is dedicated to giving discarded textiles a new life instead of allowing them to be exported or sent for incineration.
