About qeenew

qeenew is a Swedish slow fashion brand founded in 2022 by designer Lisa Viola Setterberg. The brand was born from a desire to create clothing with meaning, where materials are respected, time is allowed, and garments are made to be felt rather than consumed.

At the heart of qeenew is the transformation of forgotten textiles. Curtains, tablecloths, and bed linens are carefully sourced and given a new life through thoughtful design and craftsmanship. Each fabric is washed, pre-shrunk, and closely examined before entering the creative process. Signs of previous use are either gently repaired or intentionally removed, allowing the material to carry both memory and renewal.

Instead of designing collections in the traditional sense, the material guides the outcome. Texture, colour, limitations, and imperfections naturally shape each silhouette, resulting in garments that feel intuitive, expressive, and deeply individual.

All pieces are created as one of a kind garments in Sweden, sewn slowly and with intention. By extending the life of existing textiles, qeenew invites a more emotional and personal relationship to clothing — one that values uniqueness, craftsmanship, and conscious creation.

The studio is located in Sjuntorp within a former 19th century yarn spinning mill. Surrounded by traces of textile history, the space reflects qeenew’s philosophy of transformation, continuity, and care. It is both a workplace and a creative sanctuary where past and present meet through circular design.
